Mavado Shares Heartfelt Tribute After Death Of His Mother: "My Best Friend  Gone" - DancehallMagDancehall entertainer Mavado has been booked to make an appearance on January 5, 2023 at the 38th birthday celebration of popular producer and disc jockey, Boom Boom. The event is slated to be held at Uptown Mondays HQ, Sahvanna Plaza on Constant Spring Road.

However, it’s unclear whether the artiste will travel to the island or he is set to make a virtual appearance. In 2018, a notice was issued by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) requesting that the entertainer report to the Constant Spring Police, which was in connection with the flare-up in violence in the Cassava Piece community. Based on this knowledge, the question has been raised of whether Mavado plans to risk his freedom by entering the ports.

On June 5, 2018, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) issued a notice urging Mavado to report to the Constant Spring Police by Wednesday, June 6. The post stated that the police suspect that the entertainer can assist in an ongoing investigation. But, the I’m So Special artiste reportedly fled the island in the same month and has not returned since.

According to reports, in June of 2018, Mavado allegedly got into a physical confrontation with a man in the Cassava Piece community in Kingston who was at war with his then 16-year-old son, Dantay Brooks, who is currently serving a life sentence for murder.

Mavado Hints He Is Back In Jamaica Ahead Of Son Court TrialThe artiste was reportedly shot during the confrontation and is said to have left the community, however, since then, a series of violent attacks followed and several men died as a result. One of the men who died was then linked to the entertainer’s son.

In March 2021, Dantay Brooks and his co-accused, Andre Hinds were subsequently arrested by the police and sentenced to life in prison for murder, both given 22 years and 17 years, respectively, before being eligible for parole. Additionally, they were indicted on the charges of illegal possession of a firearm and arson.
