Jaz Elise debuts at number two on the US Current Reggae Albums Chart with her seven-song EP, The Golden Hour. It was released on March 5 by In.Digg.Nation Collective/RCA Records.
Among the set’s highlights are After 3 featuring Mortimer, Good Over Evil, and a remix of Fresh and Clean featuring Govana.
The Golden Hour sold 130 copies and is the first project by a female artiste to debut in the top five since Lila Ike in May 2020.
Lila Ike and Jaz Elise are label-mates, signed to In.Digg.Nation Collective/RCA Records.
The various artistes compilation, This is Jamaica Ska (Studio One), remains number one after selling an additional 157 copies.
Casual Encounters by Florida reggae/rock band Kash’d Out enters at number three with 124 copies, while Flores Y Burbujas by El Natty Combo dips to number four with 122 copies.
Songs of Freedom: The Island Years by Bob Marley and The Wailers backtracks to number five, Higher Place by Skip Marley inches up to number six, and the long-running Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica: The Reggae Collector’s Edition (Contractor Music) re-enters at number seven. The compilation is number one on the iTune Reggae Chart in Ghana.
