Dancehall Artist Merciless’s Family Looking At The Possibility Of A Second Autopsy

Merciless News - DancehallMagThe family of deceased Dancehall veteran Merciless is weighing the possibility of having a second autopsy done on the entertainer’s body after the first report was deemed inconclusive.

Senior Superintendent of Police and head of the St Andrew Central Police Division, Marlon Nesbeth confirmed that an autopsy was performed earlier this month. Based on the report, he disclosed that the initial results were inconclusive, which means that the cause of death for the entertainer at the time of the post-mortem examination could not be established.

Merciless - Latest News and New Music - Urban IslandzAccording to SSP Nesbeth, the police are now awaiting the results of tests sent to the lab before officially determining the cause of death.

Merciless’s eldest sister, Claire Howell told the Jamaica Observer that the family is contemplating having a further analysis done. However, she indicated they will decide by Monday, August 22 on how to proceed, as they are also awaiting on information from the police before moving forward with the decision.

Reportedly, the burial is to be held in the Clarendon parish and to be organized by Audrey E Williams Funeral Services.

On July 19, the artiste whose real name is Leonard Bartley was found dead at the Harlem Resort & Tours Motel on Beechwood Avenue in St Andrew.

Merciless rose to fame in the early 90s and is known for hit singles such as “Lend Out Mi Mercy”, “Mavis” and “Deportee (Foreign Serious)” etc.
