Beenie Man Endorses Spice As “Queen Of Dancehall” At Dream Weekend – Watch  Video – YARDHYPEThe long-standing feud between two of Dancehall’s hottest male and female entertainers is now a thing of the past, after Beenie Man, the proclaimed, “King of Dancehall”, introduced Spice as the “Queen of Dancehall” at Dream Weekend.

Before Spice graced the stage to sway the crowd with her usual high-energy performance, Beenie Man took a stand to acknowledge her as the reigning female entertainer from the 90s to now and as such, publicly endorsed her as the undisputed, rightful designator for the highly acclaimed crown.

“Can you help me welcome on stage, one of the baddest thing from the 90’s till now, she deh deh from den till now. Help me welcome pan stage, the Queen of stage, the Queen of Dancehall, the Queen of us all… Spice,” Beenie Man said.

Most recently, in 2017, the veteran deejay did an interview on Onstage TV and during this, he maintained the stance that Spice was not ready to claim such accolades, whereas, stating that there was no contender to Lady Saw, who is now referred to as Minister Marion Hall for the “Queen of Dancehall” title. This was despite her putting down the mantle and turning a new way of life to Christianity.

“If you’re going to take Lady Saw crown then you have to do what Lady Saw did like no disrespect, you can’t do less work,” Beenie Man said.

In Spice’s defence, she made a comparison between Beenie Man and one of his known musical rivals, Vybz Kartel, who to this day, has the “King of Dancehall” moniker throughout his social media pages. “Do you also know that the King is incarcerated right?,” Spice said.
