Biography: Shawn StormThe EP’s title is fitting with Storm’s decade-old cry. The deejay, whose given name is Shawn Campbell, is serving life imprisonment for the 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. One of his co-convicts and founder of the Portmore Empire, Vybz Kartel, is also serving a life sentence.

Storm will be eligible for parole after serving 22 and a half years, while Kartel will have to serve 32 and a half years to that end. The men are appealing to the Privy Council in the United Kingdom.

The EP’s cover photo also suits the tone of the project as it bears an old photo of Storm rocking a fitted hat, reflective of the era when he was introduced to dancehall and his camp was a formidable subculture.
