Dancehall Artiste Devin Di Dakta has released a song seemingly addressing comments made regarding entertainers contributing to the country’s crime issues.
The self-written song titled System Matic retells the history of the crime situation on the island. In the song, Devin encourages the Government to seek help from Artistes as a solution to the problem rather than casting blame. Devin also encourages Entertainers to lead through example while calling for a peaceful 2021.
Anthony Escoffery Clarke more popularly known as Devin Di Dakta shared the video with his over 100k followers on Instagram and his other social media platforms. Entertainers Tanya Stephens, Popcaan, Tosh Alexander, Bling Dawg, Tu Lox, Razor B, Natel and Cali P commented fire emojis in the comment section of the post.
There have been recent talks that Dancehall Entertainers and Politicians play a key role in the recent upsurge of crime and violence happening in Jamaica. Several entertainers have expressed their disapproval of the statements.
