Lisa Hyper Making Good On Comeback Talks

In September when she released her ‘Boss Up’ EP, former Gaza Empire member Lisa Hyper promised to reclaim a spot among the hottest female deejays in the industry.

Fast-forward a few months and the entertainer is making good on that promise, following the release of another body of work titled the Griselda Blanco mixtape.

Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR, the entertainer said that she has been working overtime to ensure she achieves the goals she has set for herself.

“I’ve been putting in a lot of work nonstop. I said I was coming back, and people are expecting me to, so I’m making sure I don’t disappoint,” she said.

“The Boss Up EP has been doing very well. I’ve been getting a lot of good feedback from not just the females who it speaks to, but the males as well, and that’s a good sign. The Griselda Blanco mixtape that I just released (in November) has been doing well also because it’s different. It’s dancehall, but with some hip-hop instrumentals mixed in there. You know, some classic ones.”

On the point of being different and exploring different genres, the entertainer revealed that she is currently in the process of putting her album together, and she revealed that it will have a little bit of everything.

“I’m now working on the album, and I’m trying to get it done by March, so while I’m working on the singles, that is also a goal,” she said. “I’m putting together a versatile album, so people will definitely see what Lisa Hyper can do, and they will also see Felecia Gooden as well.”

Lisa Hyper, who emerged on the dancehall scene as one of Vybz Kartel’s protÈgÈs, said that she is now in a good place musically.

“I’m very positive about 2018 and I’m staying focused on getting the work done. I’m in a good place and I’m excited about all the releases to come,” said Lisa Hyper, who recently released her Wanted Girl music video.
