Popcaan is on Should’ve Been Me, the latest single from Naughty Boy. The track also features British house music singer Kyla.
Released by Virgin Records, Should’ve Been Me debuted at number 97 on the UK pop chart last weekend.
This is the third UK pop chart entry for Popcaan. His previous slots were as featured act on Aluna George’s number 39 single
I’m in Control in March and Melissa Steel’s Kisses for Breakfast which peaked at number 10 in 2014.
Naughty Boy, whose real name is Shahid Khan, is an English DJ and producer. In 2012, he signed a three-year publishing deal with Sony ATV, as well as a recording contract to release one album under Virgin EMI Records.
He owns the production company, Naughty Boy Recordings. Naughty Boy has produced two Top 10 records for UK rappers Chipmunk and Wiley, both featuring Emeli SandÃ©.
He produced Sande’s critically acclaimed debut album, Our Version of Events and has also produced songs by Leona Lewis, Jennifer Hudson and Tinie Tempah.
