Chronixx Cancels Brooklyn New York Show, Fans Want Chronixx To Host The Concert Online

Chronixx x Clarks Originals: "Cool As The Breeze/Friday" - NotionA representative from the Brooklyn Mirage, the venue in New York where Chronixx was scheduled to perform next Monday, September 6, says it was the reggae artiste who pulled the plug on the concert and not them nor the city.

The representative also stated that the cancellation had absolutely nothing to do with any updated vaccination requirement, as is being speculated.

“Chronixx called and cancelled,” the lady who answered the phone at the venue told The Gleaner, before putting us on hold briefly to double-check on the vaccination requirements.

“Oh no, you did not need to be vaccinated,” she stated clearly. “That concert was being held at our outdoor venue so it was either a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination.”

On Monday, to the dismay of many fans, Chronixx announced via social media that his much-anticipated Labour Day concert, dubbed ‘Chronixx Live in Brooklyn’, had been cancelled.

Chronixx Net Worth | Celebrity Net Worth“Due to circumstances beyond our control our September 6th concert at the Brooklyn Mirage has been cancelled. We appreciate everyone who bought tickets and made plans to attend. Thank you always for showing us love,” an official statement from Chronixx Music Group and Soul Circle Music read.

The concert, for which patrons had to be 21 and over — and which required proof of ID — was being boosted with ads which stated “Chronixx & The ZincFence Redemption Band makes their highly anticipated, Brooklyn Mirage début on Sept 6th! A limited number of tables are available. To make a reservation please email”

The Avant Gardner website also noted, “This is an outdoor event and therefore proof of vaccination is currently not required for entry. This is subject to change, pending any additional guidelines from the city or health officials.”

A view from the outside: A word to Chronixx from a 'media man' | Loop JamaicaFans have openly expressed their disappointment at the news, and many wrongly assumed that the venue had updated its guidelines to make vaccines the only requirement for entry.

Some of Chronixx’s friends in the music business, including Kabaka Pyramid and Jessie Royal, entered the chat and called on “Jah Jah”. Kabaka Pyramid is currently on tour in the US, having resumed last week, after a two-week break “to follow CDC guidelines”.

There are now calls for Chronixx to host the concert online.
