Vybz Kartel gave me the big break -- Not Nice | Entertainment ...“I want people to know that no matter what they are going through right now, it will get better. Music is such a powerful force and it can impact people so strongly, even more than the official statements from politicians. I am hoping that those who hear this message will be just as positively impacted as I was when I made it.

“Even though I am releasing We Are right now, it’s not a ‘corona’ song. I want it to be timeless and continue to uplift people despite what they may be going through, even 10 years from now. I think there is no better way to communicate a message like that than through song,” he continued.

Musical collaborator Nordia Mothersille also celebrated the song’s impending release.

“I came on board because I believe this song is very fitting for what we are currently experiencing as a country with this COVID-19 pandemic. The process of creating it helped me to find some peace and comfort. I hope that it will do the same for those who listen to it,”she said.
