Chart Watch – iTunes | Two new Releases In Top 10

Two new releases have put a dent into the accustomed order of the iTunes Reggae Albums chart’s highest places. Up to just before 4 a.m. yesterday, Silly Walks Discotheque Presents Onward Riddim is number four, while the Money Mis Riddim compilation is at number nine.

They are fresh faces among the Marley, Rebelution and Stick Figure sets which are standard in the iTunes top 10.

Contributing to the Onward Riddim are Shuga with Onward, Kabaka Pyramid (Revelution of the Mind), Gentleman and Torch (Keep on Moving) and Big Banking (King Mas). Riding the Money Mix are Vybz Kartel (Poor Man Skank), Mavado (Fresh Cash), I-Octane and Ding Dong (Stop Wile Up), Masicka (10 Out a 10), Ky-Mani Marley (Angel) and Tifa (Chicken Head), among others.

In its second week on the listing, Keznamdi’s Skyline Levels, Vol 1 is at number 13. Two ‘best of’ albums are back to back. At number 16 is The Very Best of Toots and the Maytals, with Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection at number 17.

For good measure, the Ultimate Collection: Jimmy Cliff is at number 20.

Chronixx’s Dread and Terrible is in the 38th position, Vybz Kartel’s King of the Dancehall is 42nd and the EP Dub Side of Jah Cure is at number 90.
