One of Jamaica’s most promising female artistes, Raine Seville, had a productive 2016, making strides locally and internationally.
Raine was featured in the Boss Magazine boasting a new style and renewed approach toward her career.
Her music video, Touch, has recently been added to BET Soul which will be broadcasting throughout the BET and VH1 platform.
After signing to Island Jams Records in 2016, Raine sat down with a team of producers and promoters to develop a strategic plan for success.
“Talent is not what she lacks, so it’s only right that we create a plan that can showcase her ability and talent,” said Oneil Brown of Island Jams Records.
The first of many moves was to increase her visibility both at home and abroad.
“We had her on a three-week US tour that highlighted her singing and performing ability as an artiste,” he said.
FESTIVAL HEADLINE
During this period, she performed with Tarrrus Riley in Connecticut, Assassin at the Philly Jerk Festival, and headlined the dancehall music festival in Washington, DC.
She also performed in New York City and Atlanta and shared the stage with Mavado and rapper Busta Rhymes at the annual Dusk till Dawn Concert series.
“With my degree in international marketing, one of the most important things to me is branding,” Raine explained. “I am now the brand ambassador for the new Green Haze Hookah Bar and Lounge located in New Kingston, Jamaica. I have a new drink called Climax, that is featured there,” said Raine.
She said she has also been recording.
“I have two tracks pre-released titled Hype TV and Top Gyal Sitn, which have been gaining momentum home and abroad,” she said.
Raine saide she has an R&B song coming soon with the same name her drink.
“You will be seeing a lot more from me, with songs like Missing You, Party Time, and many more for 2017 if the power that be allows, so with that I have to thank God because He is my Guide and Protector.”
