Fourteen-year-old singer Kairo McLean, Kirk Diamond, Celena, multiple winner Exco Levi and multiple nominee Ammoye are competing in the Reggae Recording of the Year category of the 2023 JUNO Awards.
The nominations were revealed earlier Tuesday in Canada.
McLean, who won the award last year, is nominated twice in the category with In the Streets and Reggae Party featuring Kirk Diamond and Finn.
Newcomer Celena is nominated for the song Like a Star, while Clarendon born Exco Levi secured his tenth nomination with Jah Love.
Another Clarendon-reared singer is Ammoye, who earned her 6th nomination for the album Water, which was co-produced by Jamaican producers Natural High.
This is the second nomination for producer Finn, while this is the fifth nomination for Kirk Diamond who is originally from Spanish Town. He won the award in 2018 for Greater.
The 52nd annual JUNO Awards, Canada’s equivalent to the Grammys, is scheduled to take place on March 23 at Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It will be aired live on the Canadian Broadcasting Commission (CBC).
