Elephant Man Charged Over False Declaration, To Be Placed In Gov’t Quarantine Facility

Image result for elephant man dancehallIt seems dancehall artiste Elephant Man will have to face the music after all.  This is despite his apology over his behavior after arriving on the island last week from a European tour with his entourage.

The entertainer has been charged with breaches of Jamaica’s Immigration Act.

Members of the Counter-Terrorism & Organised Crime Unit served a court summons on the Energy God at his home where he had been ordered self-quarantined since he publicly apologized for “unintentionally” making a false declaration to immigration officials last week at the Sangster International Airport.

Image result for elephant man in airportElephant Man, whose real name is Oneil Bryan, was accused by an Immigration Officer of failing to declare his travel to Germany which was affected by the coronavirus pandemic. In his apology, he expressed regret to the airport staff, Minister of Health Dr. Christopher Tufton and all Jamaicans for potentially exposing them to COVID-19.

Now according to a Loop News source, the Find It singer will be forced to stay in a government-run quarantine facility. “He will be forcefully placed in a government-mandated quarantine facility beginning today,” the source was quoted as saying.

Image result for elephant man dancehallFellow dancehall artiste, Mr. Vegas had called out Elephant Man‘s actions as selfish and irresponsible in a blistering Instagram video. Vegas believes that Elephant Man intentionally failed to declare all the cities he had traveled to because he did not want to be quarantined.

Elephant Man is expected to appear in court on April 15, 2020 to answer the charges.
