It was carnival time in Trinidad & Tobago once again and the Jamaican soca heads made their way over to the neighboring island for some much needed fun in the sun … water, paint and mud.
After an epic experience last year, it’s no surprise dancehall artiste Konshens and his wifey Latoya Wright were back for the 2020 J’ouvert pre-carnival fete along with a couple other festivities that usually takes place around this time of year.
Just yesterday the deejay posted a video capturing his wild time during J’ouvert, even though the event wrapped up a couple days ago. He and his wife are seen covered in paint in the wee hours of the morning getting down and grinding to some sweet sweet soca music, simply having the time of their lives.
He captioned the clip, “ “LAST TIME DAT A CHECK!!” somebody tag Lyrical fi mi an tell him mi seh him find itttt @latts my fellow psychopath ”
The Turn Me On deejay also shared a photo of the aftermath with the two passed out on the backseat of what appeared to be cabby. He did similar posts last year depicting the same agenda while he was partying away at the 2019 soca mass. His captioned then read, “All these years I’ve been lying to myself bout mi guh party. A today a di fus mi guh party if yuh neva guh jouvert yet yuh neva guh party yet. Fullstop. SWIPE ——>>>”. Suggesting it was his first J’ouvert fete and as we have witnessed this year, it was clearly the first of many more to come.
Konshens was not just gallivanting in the streets of Port of Spain however, he had been booked prior to perform at Machel Montana’s signature event and the grand finale for Machel Mondays on February 17, 2020.
He delivered an energizing performance and raved the crowd with his soca tracks such as Sexin, If I Get a Whine, as well as performing his smash hit Bruk Off Yuh Back. He also had a performance at Queen’s Park Savannah with the likes of Kes and Anyanwu Child among others.
