Dancehall artiste Spice is known for her energetic performances and racy lyrics but the ‘Queen of Stage’ has been looking to broaden her horizons in the entertainment sphere. In recent times, she has been trying her hands at producing and directing and on her latest single, Tables Turn, the deejay takes on both roles.
In a release sent to THE STAR, she expressed that she has always been involved in her projects and her taking on more responsibilities is just testament to her growth. “Though it may seem like a new experience, I have been instrumental in many of my previous projects. I have grown a lot on my musical journey and producing and directing comes with that growth.”
Released last Friday, the song is currently number one on the local YouTube trending list.
Amidst new music, Spice is also looking to interact more with her core fan base. It is to that end that she officially launched Spicey Fridays inside A-Bar Restaurant and Lounge last week. In addition to giving back to her fans, Spice said the event was her way to alleviate the struggles dancehall has been facing since police began enforcing the noise abatement act.
