Iration Climbs Billboard Summit

Last June, California reggae band Iration debuted at number two on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart with its self-titled set. Forty-one weeks later, that album is number one.

Iration, which has sold more than 10,000 copies, is the group’s third number one. Their previous chart-toppers are 2013’s Automatic and Hotting Up which came out two years earlier.

Eight of the albums in this week’s Top 10 are former number ones.

Rapture by Koffee is also on the move, rising from number eight to four. Black and White by The Green also makes steady progress from number 10 to five.

After peaking at number two, The Nighthawk Recordings by Culture slips from three to six, while Santigold’s I Dont Want: The Gold fire Sessions hops from number five to seven.

Moving up one spot to number eight is South of 5th by Mayday. Re-entering the chart at number nine is Dub The Planet: Vol 1 by Roots Radics/Dub Syndicate; it peaked at number four a few weeks ago.
