Reggae Acts Line-Up For Austin fest

Image result for etanaA number of Jamaican acts have been announced for the line-up for the Austin Reggae Festival slated for Texas in the United States from April 19-21.

According to the organisers, this festival captures community and culture, showcasing a wide array of artiste as well as local arts, crafts, and ethnic food.

Over the three days music lovers will be treated to an eclectic blend of seasons and emerging music campaigners in what some have come to describes as s one of the most underrated festivals in Austin area of the Lone Star state.

Now in its 26th year, The Austin Reggae Festival not only celebrates community and music, but a portion of ticket sales goes towards actually helping the community. Over the last five years, the Austin Reggae Festival is reported to have raised has raised almost 2.7 million meals for the Central Texas Food Bank.

This year’s reggae festival will feature talented musicians such as Don Carlos, Hempress Sativa, Mykal Rose, Cocoa Tea, and Freddie McGregor, Jah9, Cham and Etana.

The event will take place at the Auditorium Shores situated at the Town Lake Metropolitan Park in Austin. Among that acts who have graced the stage of the Austin Reggae Festival over the years are Bunny Wailer, Collie Buddz, Dubtronic Kru, Everton Blender, Inner Circle, Israel Vibration & the Root Raddics Band, Jesse Royal, Luciano, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Mighty Diamonds, Raging Fyah, Rootz Underground, Tarrus Riley, The Wailers and King Yellowman.
