The veteran entertainers are seemingly feuding after the “Energy God” felt some type of way about a line in Beenie Man’s new single “Our Grung.”
In the track the “King of Dancehall” shared that Elephant Man has found it difficult to produce dancing tracks since Ding Dong Ravers came on the scene, “… from Ding Dong start sing the dancing song dem Elephant doah find none,” the Doc deejays over the beat produced by Zinc House Records.
Elephant Man wasn’t feeling Beenie Man’s lyrics and recorded a gritty diss single titled “Nah Talk” in which he spoke about the veteran artiste’s alleged involvement with the murder of dancer Gerald ‘Bogle’ Levy, his past relationship with D’Angel plus a slew of other topics.
According to Beenie Man rep, “Our Grung” was not intended to be a diss track and Elephant Man just wanted to opportunity to start a beef, “It seems like Ele did a sit down and wait fi diss Beenie Man but i can confirm “Our Grung” was not a diss track,” the rep said. “Beenie Man is always playfully mentioning other artiste’s names in his singles its nothing personal.”
Meanwhile, Beenie Man is capitalizing on the free promotion he has been getting on the single, “HOT GRUNG #OURGRUNG #HOTSONG #CALMDOWN#OURGRUNGATALKDITALK ,” he wrote under a repost of the track on his Instagram account.
