Jah Cure Slaps Back At Songwriter’s Accusations

Jah Cure Slaps Back At Songwriter's AccusationsJah Cure has reacted to accusations by a songwriter that the Reggae star neglects her writing credit for her work.

The Grammy-nominated entertainer recently posted a video clip in the studio listening to a new song, which will be featured on his upcoming “Royal Soldiers” album due later this year.

Jah Cure also share the lyrics (see at the end of this article) to the track along the post on Instagram.

This comes after he was accused of cheating a woman who claimed to be the mastermind behind several of his hit singles. Jah Cure was exposed by a songwriter who claims he stole song credits and failed to pay royalties for her contribution.

During a flaming Instagram Live session, the St Lucia female singer/songwriter bashed “Unconditional Love” singer claiming she was cheated out of credits and royalties for several projects including a track from Jah Cure’s new album.

The woman said revealed that she wrote several songs for the Jamaican artist and was promised writers credit on his forthcoming “Royal Soldier” album. However, none of that materialized, according to her.

Jah Cure Hits Back At Songwriter’s Accusations

In the footage, she stated that the final straw came earlier this year when the “Jah Cure cheated her out of credits” to a song which appeared on DJ Frass’ “Road To Success” album, claiming that he was the sole writer of the track.

She also disclosed that she worked for the entertainer for more than a year, writing several songs without receiving any compensation or royalties.

She has since threatened to take legal action against the Jah Cure for the track, demanding that it be pulled from digital distribution. This lawsuit would cause Dj Frass’ entire album to be pulled from shelves.

The songwriter said she was recently contacted by DJ Frass and VP records appealing her to not take further action but at this point, she “just doesn’t care” anymore.

Jah Cure has not responded publicly on the controvery.

“Haters, and bad mind and wicked heart, (dem a see red) (Chorus)
Unuh see red, see red but I See Green.
Unuh see red, see red but I See Green.
Green like my ganja, green like my cash, no time for drama, juss ah relax.
Unuh see red, see red but I See Green (Verse 1)
This is a world of struggle,
This is a world of strife.
Don’t let the world kill your light. (Yeah)
Another day, another dollar
No time to fuss and fight
I’m trying to level up my life, my life

Unuh see red, see red but I See Green.
Unuh see red, see red but I See Green.
Green like my ganja, green like my cash, no time for drama, juss ah relax.
Unuh see red, see red but I See Green.

People betray their brothers,
People kill their friends,
Judas will kiss ya on the cheek, (yeah)
I’m lifting up my brothers,
And I pray for my friends
Nothing but positivity, you see.

Haters, and bad mind and wicked at heart, (dem see red)
Dun know red means stop and Green means go, dem ah see red)
Haters, and bad mind and wicked at heart, (dem see red)
Dun know red means stop and Green means go, dem ah see red)”
