Supa Dups, Rvssian Konshens & Sean Paul Gets Nod For Latin Grammy

Two albums that feature production from Jamaican-born producer Dwayne “Supa Dups” Chin-Quee have been nominated in the 18th Latin Grammy Awards.The albums are El Dorado by Shakira and Fenix by Nicky Jam.

Supa Dups shared the news on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

El Dorado is the 11th studio album for Shakira, which was released on May 26 via Sony Music Latin.

It is nominated in the Album of the Year and Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album categories.

Supa Dups produced four songs: Nada, Amarillo, Comme Moi, and What We Said.

On Nicky Jam’s album Fenix, Chin-Quee produced the songs I Can’t Forget You and No Te Puedo Olvidar. Another Jamaican producer, Tarik “Rvssian” Johnston-produced Amor Prohibido (which features Konshens and Sean Paul) and Me Enamoras.

Shakira earned a total of six nominations for the November 16 event, which takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Nicky Jam has four nominations.
