A PERMANENT fixture on the dancehall music scene since as far back as most can remember; deejay Bounty Killer, or Rodney Price to his family; turns 45 today.
Mentor to the likes of high-calibre new school artists Busy Signal and Mavado, Bounty has shaped many a career, directly and otherwise; including that of Beenie Man with an ongoing, much-publicised feud. Bounty, affectionately known as the War Lord and 5 Star General to fans, puts up a fitting defence when lyrical challenges come his way.
